This award will be given annually. It will be given to a Victoria Police club or Member Association who has shown both a sustained educational and social skill development of its members, and the implementation of strategies to assist their communities in any of the following areas of concern:
- family violence,
- youth and community engagement,
- supporting the disadvantaged and/or disabled,
- promoting social harmony/inclusivity,
- honouring fallen comrades/supporting their families

2022 (Joint Winners)
Girl in Charge Program, Victoria Police Netball Club
Created by club members Sgt Kylie Power & LSC Kylie Roberts, the program targets year 9 & 10 girls and focuses on the girls love for netball, obtaining an umpire accreditation, and empowering the girls to focus on their mental, health and leadership skills. The program works closely with Netball Victoria, Surf Coast Suns Football & Netball Club, Blue Ribbon Foundation and the local parliament member. The initial Program was run at Surf Coast Secondary College with feedback from the program resulting in vast improvement with self-confidence and empowerment with the girls involved.
Sandy Langlands, Well-being Grants, Past & Present Women Police Association
The club established the Sandy Langlands Well-being Grants to honour their former inaugural President. This grant was setup following feedback regarding the challenges faced by current and retired members. The grants were awarded upon application from club members and intended to improve physical and psychological well-being of the member. Examples of where the grants were used included mobility aids, dining experiences, golf equipment, swimming lessons, and gym equipment. The club also produced face masks, Christmas cards and life member badges through COVID to keep members engaged with the club.
2019
In September 2018, the Law Enforcement Torch Run set off for the Eastern Regional Awareness Tour. The tour was designed to promote awareness of Special Olympics into regional areas where club-based structures do not currently exist, with specialist schools and disability services involved in the Torch Runs and tailored sport event days. Over 700 people were involved in the Torch Runs with more than 350 local police and emergency services members involved in coordinating the local events.
2018
The Victoria Police Hockey Club travelled to Vietnam to take part in a Hockey festival and to also donate equipment and clothing to a local orphanage. They were also involved in the Indian Festival of Diwali as well as running their School Community Event and playing a part in the All Abilities Aces Hockey Tournament.
2017
The Victoria Police Cricket Club created and developed the ‘Harmony in Cricket T20 Cup’. The ‘Harmony in Cricket’ match was able to provide the club an amazing opportunity to interact with young refugees and asylum seekers, to break down barriers and form a connection between them and the Victoria Police, and show that Police are there to offer them assistance.The match also played a major role in the integration of diverse groups into the broader Australian community.
2016
The Victoria Police Soccer Club’s ‘Tony Clarke Memorial Match’ created with the permission of Tony Clarke’s family, and involving a memorial match between ex-Socceroos and members of the Soccer Club to remember and celebrate Tony’s life, while supporting the many victims of crime.
